Herbert Slade founded the Company in 1957. His original design consisted of a rigid fiberglass panel attached to a piece of angle aluminum back rail.
Over the years the cover design was modified to allow the fiberglass to fit into a specially designed channel back rail, which gives the cover superior strength as well as a more finished look. The addition of locks as an option was incorporated in the mid 70’s.
The company was bought by Richard Wolski in the early 1980’s and is now run by David and Deborah Wolski. Today, with new wells changing in size and shape, Windo-Well Cover Company keeps updating its design to stay in touch with today’s window well needs.
